Tonya is working with Compass Family Counseling as she completes her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Evangel University. Her background includes working with teens in Juvenile Court, serving as a case manager at the Florence Crittenton Home, and leading small groups in Celebrate Recovery. These roles strengthened her belief that every person deserves a safe, compassionate space to share their story and receive support.

In her free time, Tonya enjoys reading, boating, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She has been married for over 35 years and has two adult children and two grandsons who bring joy and meaning to her life. As the spouse of a retired Air Force service member, Tonya understands military culture, transition stress, and the significant adjustments veterans face when moving from military to civilian workplaces. These insights help her connect deeply with clients navigating similar transitions. She values community, faith, and lifelong learning, and continues to grow her counseling skills through ongoing coursework, training, and hands-on experience.
