Our Counselors

Marty Skrivanos

Marty Skrivanos is the founder and clinical director of Compass Family Counseling. Marty earned his Master’s degree from Denver Seminary and prior to that spent 15 years in the business world. His roles included business development, sales and marketing, small business start up, and management. Marty combines the ability of listening to the heart of the matter with the ability of speaking directly and concisely to the underlying issues at hand. He specializes in working with men and understands the challenges men face today in providing for their families. As a devoted husband of over 18 years and a loving father of three, Marty understands the numerous difficulties that men face today. The ability to navigate and balance work life and home life is causing many men to feel stress, anxiety, and depression in ways they have never known or talked about before. Marty also specializes in working with marriages and troubled families. As the child of an alcoholic, Marty has the qualifications to assist families that are struggling with issues that are not generally brought out into the open. Marty’s desire is to come alongside anyone needing help – each individual or family, business leader or struggling teen – and to guide them in their search for hope, direction and healing.
